Surely Ashlee Mullany is bureau chief?

She did step down from the Us Bureau chief position.

That’s what I was thinking - surely she would get it since she lead the US bureau, unless she doesn’t want it.

Well… she replaced Sarah.

And maybe Hugh always knew he was coming home in a year’s time.

So perhaps it was with a view to taking over from Hugh.

That would make most sense. But i could be wrong.

Sad sad sad. Horoscopes, The 6:57pm News, and now Movie Reviews.
Gosh, what has 7NEWS turned into?
With all this, I reckon it’s time to rebrand the bulletin to…

Or simply Sunset .

Is there anything actually wrong with a movie review in a one hour news broadcast?

Can’t all be flight upgrades scandals and afternoon storm cells.

I’m pretty sure this aired during the afternoon news.

It also got a run on the 6PM news, in Melbourne anyway.

It was more of an interview than a review. Was a bit fluffy but they showed it late in the bulletin and it didn’t stand out too much.

It was shown on both the 6pm and 4pm news in Sydney.

Angelique Opie also presented a property report though she wasn’t identified as the Property Editor.

Sunset is a great idea for 7. Could run 3 til 6pm before the local news at 6.

7 Brisbane has had a weekly real estate update for a while on the 4pm news with a local agent reviewing property sales and popular suburbs.

Except for the fact sunset isn’t until after 8pm and close to 9pm in Melbourne from October until March every year…

Well since we have The Morning Show, why not The Afternoon Show then .

Or since the sun sets before 6pm in winter, The Weekday Show :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Kay McGrath on Seven’s axing of Sharyn Ghidella

Not the focus of the articel but gets a mention

“All I would say is that this was a particularly unfortunate and very unskilled decision and Seven have sought to rebuild their brand and they are very focused on regaining trust,” she says.

“It’s a high pressure industry and often decisions get through that shouldn’t – and it’s not my position to publicly comment on it, except to say that it was an unskilled decision and they happen every day of the week in any industry.

“Sadly, when a poor decision is made in the broadcast industry it is hugely public, which makes it particularly painful for everybody involved.”
