Seven News Melbourne sports reporter Tom Browne has told Sunday Herald Sun that he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 32, eight years ago, when his health suddenly crumbled. Tom, who spoke about his illness during National Diabetes Week last week, revealed his weight dropped from 88 kg to 67 kg in around six to seven weeks, and “was probably pretty close to dying” by the time he went to see a doctor.

Over the years l had seen Jayde doing occasional news updates during her stints with Ten and Nine and l always thought she had potential for newsreading.

That’s a good question. I know she was absent for some time leading up to and following (understandably) the death of her son last year. I do recall seeing her pop up again on the news a couple of times later in the year but I don’t think she’s filed a report this year.
