Good chat between Rebecca Maddern and Darren James on 3AW yesterday morning.
After listening to it, it reaffirmed my opinion even more that Bec’s outgoing personality would be great for a chat/panel show on Seven (a program like The Morning Show), as we unfortunately don’t get to see much of her personality just reading the autocue.
Scott Gullan did an interview with Sally Pearson which appeared on News Corp papers last Sunday, in which Sally lamented she was struggling to find a new full-time job since retiring from athletics. She said presenting sport on GC News was one of the ways to earn an income.

Her Instagram story is a photo of her in the lift at work clearly saying ‘A quick guest appearance and now back to normal programming’, with an emoji of a child, indicating that she’s going back to being on maternity leave.
A lot of companies have ‘keeping in touch’ days for new Mums. They come back for the odd shift to remain connected to the business. Isn’t it a great thing?
6PR reports Basil Zempilas is to be replaced as Seven Perth sports presenter with Ryan Daniels on weekdays but he will remain with the network presenting events like Telethon and the Olympics.

In regards to giving up 6pm sport, you’d think he knew what he was signing on for when becoming Perth Mayor, and IMO the nightly sport role gives him more exposure in the media than Lord Mayor does.
Knowing you’re signing up for a heavy workload and experiencing how much a heavy workload takes out of you mentally are two very different yet important concepts.
