Life is about to get a lot busier for Sally Pearson, who has landed a new gig presenting sport for Channel 7’s Gold Coast News …

After recently opening up about her difficulty finding a career outside athletics, [she has] been snapped up by Channel 7 in the new sports presenter role…

“I’ve always wanted to be in the media but I was too scared to I guess go for it … I really need to start thinking about what I’m going to do with myself and ways to support my family…” she said.

She persisted knocking on the door at Channel 7 News…and they quickly offered her the new role…
