Is she still working for Seven in Asia?
I have no idea what her next adventure is as her tweet didn’t specify.
it’s all over the place at the moment. never know what combination you’ll get.
can’t imagine 7 suddenly having a Bangkok bureau, plus seems like she was bidding farewell her 7 colleagues.
Saturday 26 June-
Matt Carmichael is presenting sport on 5pm News and Sydney News tonight.
Sunday 27 June to Thursday 1 July-
Mike Amor will be presenting in Melbourne filling in for Peter Mitchell.
Monday 28th June:
Max Futcher presenting Morning News from Brisbane studios.
Sport presented by Pat Welsh.
Weather from Tony Auden.
Also notice the reaction from Sarah Harris (whatsarahsnapped). Were Sarah and Sam colleagues at Nine?
Monday 28 June & Tuesday 29 June-
Blake Johnson is presenting Afternoon News in Melbourne.
Could just be in the same social circles, but Sam also was the Early News Presenter while Sarah was at Nine.
Could just be maybe that two former colleagues are still connected via social media?
Was this nationally? (Didn’t watch due to work)
Melbourne and Brisbane
Sydney got an Ann Sanders localised version.
oh yeah because of Sydney lockdown…
Let’s hope Seven doesn’t underutilize Sam - she’s a big get for them and an equally big loss for Nine that I reckon they’ll rue in the future
I don’t think Sam will have a permanent presenting role.
I reckon she’ll be a senior reporter and fill-in presenter.
Ann Sanders with a regular bulletin this morning.
Those who watched Seven’s extended Morning News with Ann Sanders this morning will surely agree with what a polished presentation it was.
Ann handled the QLD Premier’s press conference and subsequent live cross to Brisbane flawlessly, and unlike usual, presented both the sport preview and weather. The recap of the bulletin’s top stories after 12noon (like before the weather on the evening bulletins) was excellent and appropriate for those of us who came in a bit late.
This was probably one of the best bulletins I’ve watched. All class, and impeccably smooth, unlike what we sometimes (often!) see when big news breaks. Well done Ann (and those behind the scenes) - you’re worth your weight in gold.
Melbourne Afternoon News sport presenters:
Monday- Tom Browne
Tuesday- Laura Spurway
