Hate to be the one referencing Jacketgate from Nine News Now’s chatroom a few years ago that we are all sick to death of hearing, but here’s something unusual I noticed today - Amber Laidler put a jacket on in between weather segments on Sydney’s Afternoon News! 
Surely that isn’t sustainable long term? Maybe they’re looking to see if they can counter 9s ratings on Sunday first before committing to a Sunday-Thursday roster like Sydney?
It was a cold day in Sydney, I’d change into a jacket too!

Saturday (12.06.2021): Liz Cantor is presenting the weather for Brisbane tonight, after filling in for Paul Burt on the Gold Coast all week.
Former Channel 7 weather presenter in the 70s and 80s, Mike Bailey, is in hospital in a coma, after suffering what is believed to be a stroke. It was reported on Seven News Sydney tonight.
I was going to mention this somewhere, but wasn’t quite sure which thread was best.
Question for the more esteemed Sydney TV news experts amongst us: Did Mike Bailey become the lead forecaster on Seven after Alan Wilkie left for Nine?
Of course I know that he was the main weather presenter on ABC News NSW from around the mid-1980s until 2007, when he stepped down (and was succeeded on-air by Graham Creed, who still holds the position today) to unsuccessfully challenge Joe Hockey in the safe Liberal seat of North Sydney at the 2007 Federal Election. Then Mike Bailey had a brief stint as secondary weather presenter on Nine in 2008-09, but I think he was mostly out of the media spotlight during the past decade…
he was a presenter on the ill-fated Radio 2 network IIRC?
