Er, that’s not quite Amber’s surname.

So basically the axing of The Latest and Morning News service in Adelaide and Perth is propping up De Ceglie new Midday News bulletin.

You could imagine having both Ann and Natasha on the books wouldn’t be cheap.

Not sure what exactly they are saving with axing Adelaide and Perth’s morning news given the staff are there anyway, especially in Perth where they are already doing the Sunrise news, and are still doing a local insert.

Studio crews etc can start later, journos have to do fewer packages so can pump out different stories, less crews starting early.

Edit - reposted in the correct thread as I thought I was in the content and appearance thread:

My goodness me :joy:

I haven’t seen the Noon bulletin, what do they mean it is sponsored? Does anyone have any caps or video of said sponsorship?

My thoughts exactly. I was a little confused by that.

But cheaper than just Ann I guess

I watched one bulletin live and one on catch up and didn’t notice any obvious paid segments.

There was this that was questioned a sponsored.

I’d say ING are probably paying for their finance update.

The took over from CommBank after Kochie and Craig James finished up.

If it was sponsored, they would have said, this segment brought to you by…

More likely Finder just supplied a talking head for a consumer story. Weekend Sunrise used to use them all the time.

Perth’s Susannah Carr started at 7 ,40 years ago on 24 January after being at the ABC .
7 News change from 6.30 to 6pm!
Did any state use to have the news at 6.30
Or was it just Perth!

Adelaide and Melbourne also had news at 6:30 during the 80s - I believe Sydney also had 30 minute news at 6:30pm for sometime after Home and Away started

7 Brisbane also trialled news at 6.30 for a while when Home and Away started (at 6.00). Eventually swapped them around and later swapped H&A to 7.00.

So 1985 Seven National News began how ironic 40 years on its back!!!
