Obviously older then both thought lol
Shawna left Gwn a few ago.
Did she replace Chris Mills.
A couple GWN legends.

They’ve been using a few new presenters since Syan left. Monique Dirksz has done it a few times.

On Weekend Sunrise this morning, Joel Dry was addressed on-air as Europe correspondent. Could he potentially join Ashlee Mullany and Hugh Whitfeld in their bureau?

This would match Nine’s three European correspondents (Dry’s wife, Jessica Millward, as well as Brett McLeod and Edward Godfrey), though they don’t strictly have a Europe bureau chief (or unless that role isn’t necessarily an on-air one for them).

Though I haven’t seen Whitfeld on air since Dry started popping up in London.

Or is he just filling in for Ashlee or Hugh?

Pretty sure Hugh got married recently and is off for a bit.

I have to wonder if Abbey Gelmi has quietly left the weekend sports presenting role.

For those who don’t know, the presenters are Gertie Spurling (Adelaide weekend weather presenter, and local Sunday 5pm news presenter), and Bruce Abernethy (Adelaide Weekend Sports presenter).

Also don’t think it’s been noted yet, but when Adelaide does the 5pm national bulletin, the national bulletin is shown on a 30 minute delay in Adelaide instead of a live local bulletin.

I’ve heard from a reliable source we’ll see her waking up with Today, very shortly.

She’ll replace Brooke then?

That would be a massive improvement. A bit of class.

Probably more like a producer who saw a reporter working in Europe and assumed they were an offical Europe correspondent.

Annette Sharp writes in The Daily Telegraph that Seven bosses are “warming” to the idea of replacing Mark Ferguson with Michael Usher and Angela Cox. The change was mooted at the end of last year but then News Director Craig McPherson had a change of heart, however sources say it’s likely Ferguson won’t last the year.

Considering her track record, I’d take this with a grain of salt ATM.

The last time Seven attempted a weeknight double header in Sydney, it failed miserably against the might of Hendo (and Jim Waley for one year) on Nine.

I say however the reason Seven News hasn’t been able to make inroads on Nine News in Sydney this year is more about Nine making the necessary changes to its early evening line up (in particular, swapping out Hot Seat for Tipping Point) in response to its Sydney news losing 12 weeks last year.
