Absolutely shocked, can’t believe it.
One of my favourite journos to watch back in his Ten days in the 2000s. His cricket reports over summer on Sports Tonight were always top notch and his later Seven Sport career around the courts at Melbourne Park (nice post and pic by Dylan Alcott online) and pool-side at the Olympics and Comm Games were career defining. And his brilliant work on Sunrise speaks for itseelf.

One Cochrane’s replies also mentioned “Luke” and I believe he’d be referring to Luke Schneider (also a sport reporter/ST back then), since HSV-7 news sport producer where Nath and him would’ve reunited and now the station’s Deputy News Director apparently.
The media coverage yesterday and this morning has been beyond anything even himself and his family could’ve imagined, shows how well he was obviously actually known and admired and how shocked viewers (loyal or passing) are. Still at the top of “Australia trending” on X. Tough watch on Sunrise this morning.

I’ve heard today several senior on-air and behind the scenes staff have exited 7 News in Brisbane, including a senior producer, and crime reporters Sally Gyte and Jorden Fabris.

Why would they bring in another newsreader when the show already has 2 presenters? Surely they can work around this (bar last minute emergencies) so that Katrina and Sam cover each others absences?
