While Jodie Speers was on leave for the past two weeks, the Early bulletin finished +1.5 minutes early. You could tell they were even adding stories after the weather to pad it out but still every day had time to spare. Today, with Jodie back, Sunrise didn’t even start until 05:31:30.
Geez. The Today Show is ruthless and cuts News off at 5.29 exact.
I figure the 5am news works for Jodie and her family, but surely she has ambitions beyond that bulletin.

That would be up to whoever is Line Producing the bulletin to get it to the correct time, not Jody.

There’s been plenty of opportunity recently, with 11:30am, Sydney 4pm and Sydney weather. If she wanted more, she could have had it.
I don’t even know how that works for the family considering both she and Ben Fordham have to be at work at sparrow’s fart and they have three young kids.
