Brisbane tonight. “This is Seven News” with headlines read by Katrina from the studio but with Max opening the bulletin from Parliament House. Poor the resolution is for the standing presentation later.
Sharyn: “And 7 News viewers can have their say about who should be Premier…”
As if their “exclusive” SMS poll actually means something.
Unfortunately 9 is doing the same thing in their Twitter page.
SMS poll sounds so 2008!
Probably says a bit about their audiences I reckon.
Seven Brisbane broke into programming (morning news) for a media conference on the cyclone (despite the caption). “Some of you will be interested in other matters”. It turned into formal announcements for leadership of the party.
Also announced freeze to car registrations.
Later
“Steven has the overall support of out party.”
Nothing from Nine - another miss for breaking news.
Another! Miss! for! 9!
… ironically, “you won’t miss a thing!” is part of their promo.
They’d have to be disappointed that the premiership was decided so quickly and spoiled their poll. Tonight, after their report confirming the new leadership, they showed the results of their poll. Turned out to be even more irrelevant.
LOL so they’re touting Tony as a ‘Certified Meteorologist’ (which is true) but then the end board of the weeknight team features everyone but him.
Much more professional approach than 9’s tacky sensationalist vibe.
Fearmoungering.
The last graphic, “everywhere else”. Looks kinda, I dunno, lazy?
I thought the same thing when I saw it on Sunrise this morning, poor choice of words.
“All other States” or something? I dunno.
Yeah all other states would be nice. I feel they don’t give a c*ap about it.
In Queensland Sunrise continues to 9am then The Morning Show then Seven Morning News at 10.30am then the special local news at 11:00 am.
Seven aren’t taking the media conference/update from QFES, unlike 9 this morning.
It took them 3 minutes to cover up the clock showing AEDT…
