Yesterday was the first time that ratings were available that would help gauge the impact, if any, cancelling the Gold Coast bulletin had.
And the result does not look good. The Brisbane bulletin posted its lowest Tuesday rating so far this year. I looked back at the records and it is the lowest Tuesday for at least 5 years (the ratings 5 years ago were so much higher than now it wasn’t worth looking back any further). The Chase result at 5pm that previously included the Gold Coast ratings was the lowest for a Tuesday this year (and previous years).
It will be interesting to see if the network can claw back the lost viewers in coming weeks.
