Wow, he actually sounds human in this!

That set is 1000 times better than Perth. I wouldn’t be disappointed if Seven moved Perth’s news to be read from Sydney if it meant getting a decent set.

Are you serious? Moving productions from Perth (which will never happen) to Sydney just for a better set? Get real mate. A news set does not define a bulletin’s quality (at least not in Perth anyway).

If Perth were to receive a Sydney style set, it can easier be replicated on the green screen. Cost effective.

Minor blooper on the Morning News - the location super said Melbourne when Joel Dry is actually in Brisbane.

And also a blooper at the end of the Early News, Jodie Speers said “Now it’s time for Sunrise, with Kochie and Nat.”

Not the first blooper to involve Joel Dry on Seven.

from Monday, 22 June 2020 on the closed Sunrise thread:

Minor blooper on Sunrise this morning.

It says Joel Dry was from Melbourne when he was actually reporting from Kangaroo Point in Brisbane.

Wrong thread to be discussing this in, but speaking of Sunrise, I recall this morning that Amanda Abate was addressed as “Sunrise Reporter.” Isn’t she just a “7NEWS Reporter.” She didn’t have a Sunrise mic nor have a Seven News mic.

This only further proves Seven doesn’t cater very much for Adelaide in the afternoon news (31/8):

Note the language used against SA, as if SA is the enemy
“SA plans to snatch back event”
Clearly doesn’t realise that SA is also watching the afternoon news

I don’t see a problem with that.

Maybe I’m just interpreting that as a negative message towards SA

Maybe. But it had SA as a focus and ‘snatching’ doesn’t necessarily denote a negative message.

It would. Snatching would be grabbing something in a rude/impatient way.
Could just be the way it was presented on Seven that made me think the way I did.
