From what I was told is white was to spread over news and there were to be changes. The depth of those changes we will have to see, I can’t see them not relaunching some elements with so many eyes on the bulletins at the moment. Historically it’s done at the end of the olympics so possible this will be the same… Sunday relaunch.

You’d think it’d make more sense to launch the new look Seven News/Sunrise branding during the early part of the Olympics so viewers can get used to things, rather than waiting towards the end when most viewers on the East Coast will be going back to their usual habits of watching Nine most nights.
It’d have to be a particularly impressive new look to keep viewers around…but knowing Seven News’ track record (and other stuff which apparently could be a hint of things to come, such as the incredibly cringeworthy “Know The News” promotional campaign) I don’t have particularly high hopes for this apparent rebrand!

This has probably already been mentioned but are 7 not uploading their bulletins to 7plus during the Olympics?
Not only 7, 9 and 10 aren’t either due to Olympics rights.
I get that 9 & 10 aren’t, but why not 7? They’re the Olympic broadcaster with streaming rights 
Who know? But there’d be a clause in there somewhere.
Have 7news got less editors or the reporters not having enough time to file reports at the moment?
I’ve in Melbourne noticed on a number of bulletins the last couple of nights, the mixes of the presenters VO overlayed with vision - it’s audio is up full and the reporter gets drowned out
Is it just lack of experience or are they having tech gremlins when they edit the packages?
Are other states having the same thing?
It’s pretty shocking.

New-ish style ‘Breaking News’ thumbnail, I say “new-ish” as it’s Olympic-themed meaning it’s temporary, but the angle graphics are different than the previous:

No Gold Coast News again tonight pre-empted by Olympics - despite being only shown on the SD channel with 7HD available to show Olympics.

I think thats the crane/jib.
Crane is no longer in use for news. The grid camera observes the robotic cameras.
7 Melbourne have a very similar shot of their set for the same reason.

Yep. Only robo cams for news now.
I saying that I wouldn’t imagine they move the cameras in studio much though during bulletin. Melbourne has mapping markers on the walls of the studio which appears Sydney doesn’t.
