When was the last time Seven broadcast a session of parliament?
7 Brisbane, for whatever editorial reason, don’t seem keen on using the ticker at all. Not for afternoon news, certainly. Even here, it seems excruciatingly reserved.
I definitely remember watching a session of parliament on channel 7 at 2pm when Julia Gillard called a Labor Leadership spill. They may have broadcast it during the Abbott/Turnbull spill also.
Adelaide used to use a plain blue ticker for the weather.
I think they had it on news updates too. Even when the new graphics (back in 2016) launched.

There was a live cross 2nd story in, must have mad a drop out. Didn’t seem that major, average viewer wouldn’t have batted an eye lid.

Are you sure? I’m just not convinced of the urgency of this particular story 
Obviously the message 7 is putting across to viewers with those horrendous in-your-face graphics
At-least the desk isn’t red I guess. Nothing beats the ugly 7 Brisbane 3D graphics though.
