Seven Network - Programs and Schedules

Same in Perth

Had a laugh yesterday (and not just at Seven’s program schedule for this week) when a modified guide was sent and the program description for yesterday’s Highway Patrol had been changed to read

We’ve scoured the internet to bring you the funniest clips of weddings going wrong!

Seven’s EPG is out of whack.

Showing “Behave Yourself” now & “Yummy Mummies” at 8:30pm?

The EPG on my Fetch PVR showed the correct programs - Mighty Cruise Ships and Hotel Hell, however the EPG on the STB for the other TV showed Behave Yourself and Yummy Mummies.

No worries. Nobody would have wanted to record that rubbish anyway. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yeah, I looked at the EPG earlier this evening and noticed Hotel Hell listed for 10:40pm.
Tuned in and Yummy Mummies was airing, with the EPG still incorrectly showing Hotel Hell.

Just noticed today.

Seven’s EPG is no longer providing detailed program listings (i.e.) year of release (if a movie), classification with consumer advice, closed caption (or not) & the cast.

Yet, online guides (such as eBroadcast) still have the full program details. Maybe the networks provide them?

@TV.Cynic or anybody else the same?

EDIT:

There appears to be a systemic issue with Seven’s EPG.

All add-ons (Live, encore, premiere, etc.) are also missing from all programs.

(e.g.) AFL on Friday night always says “live”, The Dressmaker should say “premiere”, just to name a couple, etc.

Hopefully it’s just maintenance or a new system they have or something.

I think knowing whether a program is new, a repeat, the year of a movie & the cast are all vital & very useful :hushed:

Little Boy Blue

Coming Soon

Based on a true story that shocked a nation, this powerful factual drama, from BAFTA winning writer and executive producer Jeff Pope (Appropriate Adult, The Widower), centres on the devastating impact on a city of an innocent child’s murder amid a wave of gang violence.

In August 2007, while walking home from football practice in his England kit, 11-year-old boy Rhys Jones was unwittingly caught in the crossfire of a gang war. Shot in the neck outside the Fir Tree pub in Liverpool’s Croxteth, he died in his mother’s arms. Made with the support of Rhys’ parents, Melanie and Steve Jones, LITTLE BOY BLUE explores their ordeal and looks at the agonising dilemmas of witnesses faced with becoming pariahs for speaking up. It tells the story of the long and extensive investigation, led by Merseyside Police SIO David Kelly, that eventually brought Rhys’ murderer and his associates to justice.

Stephen Graham (Taboo, This is England) takes the role of Detective Superintendent Dave Kelly who led the investigation into Rhys’s murder on behalf of Merseyside Police, while Sinead Keenan (Being Human) and Brían F. O’Byrne (Million Dollar Baby, Prime Suspect) play Melanie and Steve Jones.

Filmed on location in Liverpool and the North West and based on careful research, LITTLE BOY BLUE is produced by Kwadjo Dajan (Cilla, Mrs Biggs, Appropriate Adult) and directed by Paul Whittington (The Moorside, Cilla, The Widower, Mrs Biggs).

EPG is working for me. It’s possible that there is something in the extended EPG info that is incomparable with some of your equipment.

I probably didn’t explain it very well.

What I meant was, for every program across Seven’s EPG, they also provided the cast (if it was a movie), the year of release, closed captioned & the classification with consumer advice.

The had done so for about a year.

Now, each program is just showing the synopsis.

Also, they would have a hyphens with “live”, “encore”, “premiere” or “new” for such programs.

Those add-ons are also missing.

So it seems they’ve given up doing all that or there was a seperate system Seven used, to automatically add all that (seperate to program synopses).

NB/
Nine still provide the year of release & some cast (for movies at least) on their EPG.

It’s very useful  So hoping it’s an error & Seven return their normal EPG.

There will be a unique three-way switch in Melbourne at 7.30pm tonight when three programs swap channels at once.
Better Homes and Gardens: from Seven to 7TWO
FINA World Swimming Championships heats: from 7TWO to 7mate
AFL: from 7mate to Seven

Has a similar switch happened before?

BILLY CONNOLLY & ME

Monday at 7.30pm

Billy Connolly and fans mark his five decades in comedy in this brand new one-hour special featuring classic clips alongside new performance footage, fan revelations and star stories, plus a brand-new interview with the man himself.

Billy Connolly has been making us laugh for 50 years. He is beloved across generations for his anarchic, life-affirming humour and the unique bond he has with his audience.

The one-hour special BILLY CONNOLLY & ME rewinds his classic stand-up moments, alongside new and unseen performance footage.

Fans of all ages from around the globe share their extraordinary stories about how Billy has amused, inspired and influenced them, while famous fans including Dame Judi Dench, David Tennant, Andy Murray, Eric Idle, Armando Iannucci and Sir Elton John share personal memories.

Stand-up comedians Peter Kay and Adam Hills reveal how Billy inspired their comic careers. Billy’s wife Pamela Stephenson, no comedy slouch herself, talks about life with Billy from their Florida home.

We also hear from Billy’s public - from students to pensioners, from Scotland to Qatar – telling heartening, emotional tales of how Billy helped them find love, give birth, change career, tackle obstacles and even come to terms with their disabilities.

These video diary-style anecdotes, sprinkled throughout the film, provide an intimate counterpoint to a major new interview with Billy Connolly himself, recording his reaction to the fans’ stories, along with reflections on such topics as turning swearing into an art form and the underestimated power of laughter.

Looking back on the great man’s wild 50-year career, BILLY CONNOLLY & ME is full of laughter, tears and unforgettable moments, hailing Billy’s influence on those who have come into his orbit.

Don’t think so, that good would to watch on 7Mate via Prime tho.

I know it’s been discussed before, but Seven calling “The Parent Trap” (1998) a “premiere”…

How pathetic.

When it’s aired on the network for many years as part of their Disney deal :expressionless:

(It’s neither a free-to-air nor network premiere, it’s a repeat).

Nice to see Seven really mixing it up with a new movie on 7mate tonight…

Con Air (1997)

repeat or encore

Hell’s Kitchen has only 10 episodes, Seven is not planning to show them in just four weeks is it? What about Little Big Shots?

There are only 2 Blue Murder: Killer Cop shows and Seven are planning on blowing them in 2 nights!?!? What are they thinking!!!

It is a miniseries and networks prefer to broadcast them over two nights instead of two weeks.
