Would be - seems like it’s been on a decline for sometime now.

Maybe cut House of Wellness down to 30 minutes, especially if it’s only going to be Mel fronting it next year without the other hosts (not 100% sure how that show works), and have BH&G for an hour at 7:30pm.

It is a surprise move for House of Wellness. Especially since it aired new episodes at 2pm on Fridays this year (not sure of previous years though).

Its no wonder why they’re trialling Jamie Durie’s show at 8.30pm at the moment - as mentioned above. During the AFL seasons in 2025, the Better Homes and Wellness double would air on 7Two. Recently, other lifestyle shows followed Better Homes anyway, like Escape to the Country (and others…) on 7Two.

Highly doubtful they’d touch BH&G, surely it’s for post that, like 8:30pm (yes like Jamie Durie test tonight). Even if rates niche, they’ve got AFL networked too, couldn’t do much worse than movies. So sub-200k wouldn’t be good, above 300k would be very good IMO.

Also, has Mel / House of Wellness gone a tad too early RE: 7 Upfronts next month?

So a single host replacing four co-hosts (Luke Darcy, Jacqueline Felgate, Jo Stanley and Luke Hines)? I assume it’s related to Luke Darcy’s decision to quit the media?

They don’t need to announce every single new show at the Upfronts. They always announce shows beforehand. There’s probably a good reason to do it now. They are probably trying to attract advertisers early.

They always drop some stuff before it the full line up is announced at upfronts - helps build up interest.

Yep - started out at 7:30pm, then got moved to 6:30pm.

Was up against live AFL on 10 - ended up getting moved to 7:30pm Fridays the next year.

Noni’s last year hosting too, though she did return to Seven for City Homicide filming in 2006 (Heelers’ replacement), it’d largely do well lasting 5 years and she’d again depart after 2011.

Seven has Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2024 coming up.

I believe (unless mistaken) has always previously screened on ABC
