The sun has set on Samantha Armytage’s time at Channel 7, with the star journalist and presenter splitting with the network after 21 years.
News Corp can reveal Armytage’s contract with the network expires in October. She was offered another contract, which she declined.
Reflecting on her most recent position at the network, hosting Farmer Wants a Wife, Armytage said: “I was happy to do more. Farmer takes up six months of the year, so I had the time to do more but that wasn’t to be,” she said.
Armytage will still appear as Seven talent at this month’s Logies, with Farmer Wants A Wife nominated for Best Structured Reality Program.
While the new series of the show is in pre-production, Armytage will not host it. Instead, the show’s original host, Natalie Gruzlewski, will return

Basically Sam and Koshy have been on network contracts to prevent them going to Nine or Ten. Both have been under utilised since they left Sunrise.
Other than making guest appearances, I can’t see Nine or Ten picking them up in this current climate.

That match is being played this afternoon. The 3.20pm game on August 11 should be Richmond v St Kilda. Adelaide will get the twilight game between Crows and Bulldogs.
Interesting that the Swans’ match against Collingwood will be shown on main channel in Sydney this Friday, but the Swans’ away clash versus Essendon will air on 7mate in Sydney next Friday.

Either they are testing to see what effect it has on the ratings before making a decision about next week, or they decided to put it on the main channel because either way, they will get smashed in the ratings since Nine has Olympics and NRL.
The Collingwood game is basically a sell-out - Swans members were told nearly a month ago that there would be no GA admission
