So the remainder of Quantum Leap’s first season moves to Sunday nights, due to the extended length of Farmer Wants a Wife.
It is in the “graveyard slot” of 11.15pm. But agree the repeat airing shouldnt be there, at least not on the main channel.
According to a promo Seven aired tonight, Farmer Wants a Wife will now air at 7pm with The Claremont Murders following at 8:30pm.
Seven must not be confident. I think Farmer will be competitive.
Spooked? Must not have expected Celebrity to do well.
They should’ve tied Easter Monday AFL and the broader Easter AFL round and Good Friday Appeal into that, at least for AFL markets and Melbourne.
Knee-jerk reaction from Seven?
Don’t forget that Lego Masters is also starting on Nine that night. So id say more to jump on Nine’s powerhouse than I’m a Celeb’s “success”…
But Seven have known about LEGO Masters for a while now; enough to avoid a late change that misses publication deadlines like TV Week.
Seven have also changed their Sunday schedule for next week from a This Is Your Life repeat to a Highway Patrol repeat. Later a movie also added.

Seven have another problem in a few weeks time as well, in survey too, with Anzac eve AFL (Monday 24th), wonder if they’ll run a split schedule or air Farmer differently. Say hold off that Sunday and Monday for something else first run (?) and do a shorter week of the show Tue (after Anzac Day AFL > news too) to Thurs, with no more Thurs AFL either and meaning more eps down the track. Or air the Sunday ep, take a break on that Monday and resume on that Tuesday.
I’ve heard The Front Bar moving to Thursdays, paired with Britain’s Got Talent, airing just a couple of days after the UK. Front Bar to air first in AFL states, and after BGT in non-AFL states.
Also heard that Britain’s Got Talent premiering on a Wednesday night - followed by Crime Investigation Australia (Claremont Murders) - before moving to Thursdays from episode 2.
The self-proclaimed No.1 network in Australia and this is what they air on Wednesday nights?
But isn’t it a good thing that Seven is preparing to fast track the new season of Britain’s Got Talent?
But Britain’s Got Talent? Someone needs to remind Seven it’s not the early 2010s anymore when any foreign import would rate its arse off in primetime.
Where’s the Australian content?
It’ll also work in tens favour since celebrity will run late and over, picking up more late share now with people turning over from farmer.
I don’t think Seven should be congratulated for using a British reality show in a key timeslot in its primetime schedule, fast tracked or not.
Think you were meant to quote Johnson’s comment.
Just for one Wednesday night.
Perhaps The 1% Club or Blow Up will air from the next week?
If there’s 2 episodes in the first week, it must be because there’s 2 airing in the UK as well.
