We’re looking at this with hindsight though. At the time Seven set the season length for both shows, they didn’t know that:
a) The Voice was going to perform as well as it has; and
b) There was going to be another significant outbreak that would hamper/prevent other shows they had planned to air after the Olympics (such as AGT)
Put Simpsons on main channel and not shitty Holey Moley US.

I think if the Swans had won this would be on the main channel in Sydney. The Giants don’t seem to rate well.
Obviously if the “TBA” turns out to be Brisbane, it’ll also be on the main channel in Brisbane
The new season doesn’t start until 26 September. I’m assuming Wednesday animation nights will resume on 7mate shortly after this.
I wonder if Seven is showing double episodes of RFDS next week, in preparation for the fasttracking of The Good Doctor? The 8th episode of RFDS, also the season one finale, is scheduled for Wednesday, September 22. Season four of The Good Doctor starts in the US on September 27 (September 28 in Australia).
Well that would be a waste of time. The Good Doctor hasn’t rated well of late.
Not only that, extremely poor decisions if they burn off an expensive local drama for a declining US series.
Earlier in the year The Good Doctor rated below 300k on a couple of occasions and missed the top 20 more than once - including the season final that had 311,000. Not a show you would bump RFDS for.

7mate is starting a new line up of Aussie comedies on Wednesdays so it’d be October at the earliest by the looks of it, if they decide to bring the animations back to 7mate.
A bit better. Still SAS would’ve been better. Perhaps they didn’t want SAS to clash with Survivor which has a similar audience.
There is really no point in this airing.
Record it a bit earlier, and they could air The Latest at 9pm into Perth after Flashpoint.
Seems random to air Holey Moley at ep 14 not ep 1.
It’s not really the type of show with an ongoing storyline to follow
It’s actually part one of a 2 part highlights episode - so originally it was going to be both parts shown during the week.
