Seven Network - Programs and Schedules

Don’t be too harsh! The people who prepare the guides are being replaced - possibly next week I think.

Source?

Ok thanks for the source

Strange they wouldn’t drop the Sunday movie with such poor ratings after heavy promotion, especially slated for every week.

Maybe it did something in the key demos, after BB @TV.Cynic?b

Like Moving The Blacklist up Earlie

Not sure where to post this - but with Sydney Weekender still airing on Sundays at 5.30pm (it’s a “best-of”/“highlights” type show now isn’t it?), i wonder if it will start again with new episodes again anytime soon? (Wishful thinking, i know). As am sure that the travel-deal-stories they air would wear thin quite soon?

It’s in the schedule and not marked as a repeat.

Wasn’t Sydney Weekender axed late last year? Mind you, I don’t know how far in advance the stories for the show are/were produced but can’t imagine there have been too many opportunities to film content for such travel shows recently with all these restrictions!

All editions of the Weekender shows were axed in November 2019. In January 2020, there was an announcement that Seven was reinstating the Queensland Weekender edition after viewer backlash.

This article said that Sydney Weekender remained axed. Not sure if anything changed after that.

It was axed, and from memory, they said new stories would end early in 2020.

6 months in, its still on… but repackaged as new. I assume Mike Whitney, the host, is still on the Seven payroll, as he still makes voiceovers for upcoming episodes

Are they segments you’ve seen before?

I have seen some segments before, but not all of them.

I am just assuming that they are all “old”, but am happy to be proven wrong.

Postcards in Melbourne is currently doing the same. Repackaged stories with new intros due to Covid.

I ever wonder if we could see some new episodes of Weekender for all states and especially in Melbourne to compete a bit more with Postcards? (the Border Security before 6pm gets a bit old in some states)

I noticed this last week, tonight has “National Treasure” finishing at 9:45pm in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth… Yet the movie itsself runs for 2hr 11min (7:30pm start would take it to 9:41pm!)

In Melbourne and Adelaide where it’s airing on 7mate, it’s advertised at a more understandable 10:10pm finish (which I’m guessing is when it’ll actually finish in the other markets with ads).

Errors in successive weeks? Or are Seven trying to be devious by tricking viewers into thinking the next movie “Enemy of the State” is starting earlier in the night? These are guides (print/online), I wonder what the EPG is saying?

That didn’t last long! First Absentia, now this long running (once very popular) crime drama. They can’t seem to get that Tuesday 9pm timeslot right even with BB helping things.

And the revised finish time is 22:03:50 And remembering that Seven won’t show the credits. That should save some time.
