A shame that The Front Bar will be on at 11.45pm next week in Sydney and Brisbane (which means that it will start at midnight since everything that airs after 7.30pm runs overtime for some reason. lol).
I totally understand that the ratings weren’t that hot flash in these cities. Why not air it on 7mate? Am not expecting a live slot, but surely an earlier slot of 10pm-ish is more ideal than 11.45pm onwards.
The Front Bar is streamed live on 7plus at the same time it goes to air in Melbourne, for fans in Sydney and Brisbane.
A reaction to last Wednesday’s ratings: 79th in Sydney and 35th in Brisbane and that was directly following an AFL game.
Thanks. That clearly explains the push to a late start - especially in Sydney.
A game which featured two Victorian teams. In other words, of course The Front Bar was always going to rate poorly after it followed a game casual AFL/sports viewers in NSW & QLD wouldn’t be interested in.

Noteable that Seven have left a TBA on Wednesday at 7:30pm similar to Nine with the potential to cover the Shane Warne state memorial. Also plenty of flexibility after that with live programs at 8.30 and 9.30.
This may change depending on the AFL’s announcement on the new date for the qualifying final between Brisbane Lions and Collingwood. The league will have to ensure players from the winning side have sufficient time to recover, before facing Melbourne in the preliminary final.
The AFLW Grand Final has now been rescheduled to the following weekend. I imagine the above timeslot will now be used for the AFLW Preliminary Finals, starting at 2pm and 4pm AEDT respectively.
Seven Melbourne was scheduled to air a VFL match this Sunday at midday (Collingwood v Box Hill). I think it will be bumped to 7mate so Seven can show the AFLW qualifying final between Lions and Pies instead.
Technically they could still air the first hour of the VFL on Seven then switch it to 7mate…
Both games involve Collingwood as well.

And Melbourne’s 7mate guide wasn’t even showing “Cinderella”, said “Mrs Doubtfire”.
Looks like Seven trying to wrap-up the HP marathon quickly? Was Thursdays, then Thursdays plus Fridays and now Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
