Would IOC broadcast rules permit Seven to run an always on-screen countdown clock for the network premiere of The Simpsons during Olympic coverage?
When did this happen?
Forget the IOC, it would be bloody annoying for the rest of us.
Why would they need to? Its not like its a new show and I doubt all of a sudden a horde of viewers will start watching The Simpsons just because it swapped from Ten to Seven.
Promote it, even lots, sure. But a countdown clock? Please no. Seeing MKR’s God awful promos every 10min is painful enough.

Well, Seven can that as a domination week I’d say…
I am looking forward to Olga and Valeria’s instant restaurant on MKR next Sunday week.
Shouldn’t it be 1.30AM AEDT for Time after Time and Powerless?
Especially since the show moved to Sundays a couple of years ago. Like Carols in the Domain, it’s a Channel Seven Sydney stalwart that always worked best on Saturdays and never quite felt right on Sundays IMO.
Although I guess Sydney Weekender keeps Mike Whitney and a few other people employed…
Yeah, they celebrated their 25th Anniversary in last week’s show!!!
Wow, that long? I was under the impression that the show started around 1995 myself.
It’s got to be one of the last truly local TV programs produced by Channel Seven.
And here’s something interesting - instead of having the show on Plus7, the show’s website actually directs you to unlisted Youtube videos uploaded by themselves like this one:
It’s got to be one of the last truly local TV programs produced by Channel Seven.
I’d go as far as saying that it’s probably the last regular TV program (Gold Telethon on Nine being the annual event) produced specifically for the Sydney market by any TV network.
It’s got to be one of the last truly local TV programs produced by Channel Seven.

Fresh TV (WA)

Creek To Coast (Qld)
Queensland Weekender (Qld)
Given the timing of Hard Sun’s debut, is Seven planning to make the series a 7plus exclusive and not show the other five episodes on TV after the Winter Olympics?
That’s what I assumed from Seven’s promo for it.
Promo shown tonight during the Winter Olympics confirms the last five episodes will be on 7plus only.

That’s strange since Sydney Weekender said on their Instagram page yesterday that they would be back next week

Much better. The Chase, maybe (which was massive during Rio 2016). But not Border re-runs on weekends, especially when afternoon viewership is at its highest.
I guess the Olympics rated a lot higher this past weekend so it was decided to let them lead into the news this week.
The Resident premieres Monday after the Winter Olympics (February 26) according to a promo shown tonight during MKR.
I think Seven has overloaded the schedule with medical dramas. For five weeks we will have The Resident on Mondays, plus The Good Doctor (last 5 episodes of season 1) and Grey’s Anatomy on Tuesdays.
The Blacklist returns
Season 5 Episode 9: Monday 26 February at 11:00PM
