It’ll be interesting then to see whether BH&G reverts to 90min on Fridays or remains at 60min. If the latter, it’d mean it’s the least weekly content/shortest run time for the show in probably 20 years.

Not sure what that’d mean for sponsors and salaries either. Especially amidst severe cost cutting and job losses at the company.

No playbook for this comeback

Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe lead a hilarious new comedy The Fall & Rise of Reggie Dinkins

Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) star in TheFall & Rise of Reggie Dinkins, a brand-new comedy series following a disgraced football superstar and an ambitious filmmaker brought together by one extraordinary comeback story, premiering Wednesday, 24 June exclusive to Seven and 7plus.

Reggie Dinkins (Morgan) is a former NFL icon whose career comes crashing down after a gambling scandal results in a lifetime ban from the league. After accidentally betting on his own team, the New York Jets, Reggie finds himself at the centre of a media firestorm, stripped of his status and struggling to regain control of his future.
Award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Radcliffe) sees an opportunity in documenting Reggie’s attempted redemption. As the pair embark on a journey to repair Reggie’s public image, their partnership quickly becomes more complicated than either anticipated.

Joining Morgan and Radcliffe is an acclaimed ensemble cast including Erika Alexander (Living Single), Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live), Precious Way (Queens) and Jalyn Hall.

The series is co-showrun, written and executive produced by Robert Carlock and Sam Means. Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Eric Gurian and David Miner also serve as executive producers.

The Fall & Rise of Reggie Dinkins Premieres Wednesday, 24 June. Stream from 6.00pm on 7plus

I would have expected them to wait until Happy’s Place had finished before bringing this in, they have created this sitcom timeslot for new content late Monday, sometimes late Tuesday nights but now concurrently having other shows on Wednesdays when I’m sure later in the year they’ll probably have nothing new?

Welcome back, The Great Outdoors. Airing on Saturday at 8pm, after Better Homes.

Why would a game between Geelong and Brisbane be on the main channel in Sydney?

NRLW is airing, which is a low ratings program, so the AFL probably thinks they can steal a few viewers. Also, NRL has been airing games onto the main channel into Melbourne lately that have been a ratings disaster, that the AFL were bound to look at it and ask 7, “why can’t you do the same?”

Emmy Rossum’s (Cold Pursuit, Shameless, Dragonball Evolution, Poseidon, The Day After Tomorrow, Phantom of the Opera, Mystic River) performance in this original streaming mini-series from 2022 was well received, looking at the enigmatic ‘famous for being famous’ 80s influencer. The show was nominated for Emmy (no pun intended!) Awards too for its art department.

This is from Seven’s NBC-U output pipeline and has already been available on 7Plus for some weeks, perhaps a broadcast run component was required within the rights, given the dead zone timeslot.

Just like the good old days in the 90s/early 2000s when they aired back to back on Tuesday nights, until TGO moved to Monday nights in 2002 after Weakest Link was quietly removed from the schedule.

The Australian is reporting that Sonia Kruger is looking at leaving Seven

Diary can reveal Sonia Kruger has spent the past few weeks quietly polishing a “sizzle reel” showcasing her career highlights to fire off to prospective overseas employers in the hope of landing a lucrative on-air role in the US or British markets after spending more than three decades ping-ponging between the Seven and Nine networks.

The ever-popular Gold Logie-winning presenter’s new-found international aspirations come as Seven continues to take the axe to its expensive slate of reality shows and televised singing and dancing contests, raising questions as to whether there will soon be enough of them left to justify her eye-watering $1m-plus network pay deal.

Kristin Chenoweth stars in a hilarious new cheerleading comedy Stumble

Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked) leads Stumble, an all-new comedy following an elite cheerleading coach whose world is turned upside down when she is forced to start over with a team of unlikely recruits, premiering Wednesday, 24 June exclusive to Seven and 7plus.

At the top of her game as an accomplished coach and accustomed to winning, Tammy Istiny’s (Chenoweth) career takes an unexpected detour when she finds herself leading a new squad made up of lovable misfits, enthusiastic amateurs and athletes who seem destined for anything but success.
Determined to prove herself once again, she sets out to transform the underdogs into championship contenders. But with clashing personalities, unconventional training methods and plenty of setbacks along the way, the road to victory proves anything but smooth.

Stumble is produced by Universal Television.

Jeff Astrof and Liz Astrof serve as executive producers and writers, with Jeff Blitz serving as executive producer and director. Dana Honor and Monica Adama also serve as executive producers.
