The Rise and Fall of Kings Cross was one of the final projects for documentary producer and race caller Graham McNeice, who died in September 2024. The doco is made by his company Shadow Productions (Crime Investigation Australia, Brian Walsh: The Great Entertainer).

Due to Telethon, this episode will air on 7two in Perth at 7pm.

Surely the “Network LIVE AEDT” header applies here.

The what? It appears consistent with the rest of the guide provided.

As we all know, Brisbane is 1 hour behind AEDT, Adelaide is 30 min, and Perth is 3 hours.

This will be broadcast live across the country on 7two at 6pm AEDT (no carriage on other channels of 7, and no delay).

Could have been simplified to just the following.

Network LIVE AEDT
06:00 PM Seven’s Horse Racing Harness Racing Victoria

Can’t simplify it that way because Brisbane and Perth airs it on an one-hour delay.

Hardly rocket science.

I find the way @TV.Cynic posts the guides to be very informative and helpful. I’d rather it stay the way it’s been presented for the last however many years. I don’t want to have to think about the time every time I read these guides when @TV.Cynic is happy to provide them.

As I mentioned a few days ago, a 11.45am AEDT start to Bathurst 1000 means the race will finish at around 6pm AEDT, barring any safety car period. It will be interesting to see if the post-6pm schedule will change if the race finishes late, and Seven decides to show the post-race presentation on either main channel or a multichannel.

We already have the blueprint, which was the 6.14pm AFL finish.

It might be done that way.

In another aspect, good to see Seven caring about WA viewers by giving them a 2-hour delayed feed.

Huh? Perth schedule shows live above.

04:00 AM Repco Supercars Championship Bathurst 1000 - Day 3 Supports
07:00 AM Repco Supercars Championship Bathurst 1000 - Day 3 Race Build Up

Well, turns out they will wake up at the final Supports hour.

So there it is, “Network LIVE AEDT”.

So it is live into WA. What are you talking about?

I have corrected my mistake. You don’t have to chime in.

Is this the first full harness racing meeting coverage on FTA since Channel 31 used to broadcast the Moonee Valley Trots in the 1990s?

There is no way any racing coverage is airing on delay. It’s a mistake with Daylight Savings not being accounted for.

Also why I argue for a simplified “network live” header.

Sure, listing out times separately for each timezone is more convenient if you don’t want to math, but these are the mistakes it can make.

(Thanks, source material - terrible Excel sheets - supplied by Seven.)

There is no mistake - the coverage for Brisbane and Perth begins on 7Two as posted.

Using a network feed is not always the best and usually leads to a lot more confusion as has been the experience in the past. People want to look at what airs in their market which has led to the current format.

My view is that “network live“ is suitable to use if the program airs across all 5 cities (reflected in timezone) on the same channel, and will not move to another channel anywhere throughout its airtime.

Like every single NFL on 7mate listing so far here.

Probably just my preference. I think it’s up to the broadcaster to say whether that term is used or not.

Or even whether the program can rate. (Yes? List every time. No? Just Eastern.)

Isn’t that what already happens?

That is just generic network feed at normal times.

The same program starts the same time anywhere, regardless of timezone.

My point was regarding just one AEST/AEDT time given for live sport, assuming circumstances apply. Everyone here do not agree with that and prefer times listed separately.

Each to their own.
