I also thought Todd was out.
I’m enjoying this show but is the regular use of “fuck” in the 7.30 timeslot appropriate? I wouldn’t imagine many children watching but their parents may be.
Programs rated M are now permitted from 7.30pm so not the first time the word has been heard at that time.
There’s been quite a few so far ![]()

S.W.A.T will return after The Irrational completes its season
Returning after a 3 year hiatus.
Yes, is this a mistake?
Or are they showing a repeat from 4 years ago?
Not a mistake. New episode listed as first episode of the year.
A showcase of all the best sights, activities and eats in and around Melbourne.
The synopsis on YourTV guide is a bit vague on whether the episode is new or repeat.
The On TV Tonight guide shows it as new.

How have we missed this?
No media report or advertisement.
Saw an ad during The Front Bar that featured Gary Mehigan, Sonia Marinelli, Abby Holmes, Brad Hodge, Nicky Buckley and Bonnie Anderson.
Begs the question, what took them so long? It took Nine winning Melbourne this year comprehensively to even think about reviving a local lifestyle show?
Seven are completely out of touch with their audience base.
We are all supposed to be on the ball when shows return in this forum. This went under the radar.
Seven advertises Farmer Wants a Wife months out. In the same breathe, advertises Melbourne Weekender four days out…
Found the promo on the show’s Instagram account.
The first post of this account was date stamped March 20, which suggests the show has been in production for several weeks.
Bonnie Anderson, Gary Mehigan and Nicky Buckley had been filming segments in March according to their Instagram posts.
I’ve been saying it all summer… but yes, it was clear local shows needed to return to HSV7. Unfortunately, they let this absence go way too long and now Nine have retained Melbourne.
Still good to see another local production return after Talking Footy.
I presume that they didn’t see any value in having one as most of the time AFL was airing on Sundays. I guess since they aren’t airing many Sunday games this year they can test the waters with a local lifestyle show.
Though if AFL is an issue they could of done it on Saturdays.
Great move! They need to rebuild in Melbourne, thought all is not lost The Chase, 7News and Sunrise having some better days recently.
