Yeah I find it strange as well. In Adelaide this weekend they are doing it at Adelaide oval where people can still go and spectate. I thought having it in the city would be safer.

The networks pretty much just give up after the football grand finals these days, don’t they?
A far cry from previous decades when November would be full to the brim of premiere movies (Off topic side note: The top two rated movies on Australian TV in 1995 were premieres in November), special events and finales.
