I think for BBL when Engie Stadium was just called Giants stadium it was referred to as Sydney Showgrounds but now they call Engie . I wonder if it was because of AFL stuff for not saying Giants Stadium? Although both 7 & Fox talk about AFL during cricket

There was a group of Giants boosters (who need their head read) who brought the naming rights and called it Giants Stadium. I refused to call it that.
Sense has prevailed and now they sold the naming rights to an actual company. But it’s still the Showground to me. Or The Thunderdome, which is what they should be calling it for Thunder games.
Looks like it was his last match for the summer on 7. I guess they wanted to have him for 1 BBL much but it got rained out

How good is James Brayshaw on the Big Bash. Brings much more energy and passion than he does during Test matches.

Kirby Short doing commentary for Fox. Her contract or freelance is interesting because normally she did Women’s Internationals & WBBL for 7 & did boundary for Fox during BBL when they called offtube.
Pretty sure she was part of 7 this summer for Women’s Internationals vs NZ & IND & WBBL but did BBL for Fox. Now she’s doing the WAshes for Fox too.
Very bizarre indeed - my parents were watching it earlier before heading out, and when they got home they were confused why they moved it.
Seven loves doing baffling/non-sensical channel changes when it comes to sports. Today probably takes the cake though - especially considering the match ultimately ended an hour later.

Another Ashes ODi and Seven switched the end of the game to 7Mate, though the change was very slightly delayed awaiting a DRS review.
Do you have the ratings for the first ODI when it swapped to 7mate & what the repeats of BHG & Border Security got?
I think the main game got 400k?
Session 2 had 400,000. B H and G 182,000.

Find it strange that Seven is showing the first hour of today’s Women’s Ashes ODI on 7Mate in Brisbane with The Morning Show Summer Series on the main channel. Similar in Adelaide for 30 minutes. Ratings for the ODIs seems to be good and it just for the first hour.
