I doubt calling the switch will get the feedback to the right people.
As someone who works for.a large organisation, we receive plenty of feedback through the head office and branch switchboards. If the feedback is specific enough, The can is passed straight through to the relevant department.
So as the ratings look around 500k at best for the cricket, you’ll say flop? . Ouch based on the last few years ratings for the Saturday night.
I’d say a success, as Seven won the night with ease (and the week) with more importantly - record ratings for women’s cricket.
The Australian has the national average audience and the peak audience figures. It rated very well.
Last year 29% of the share this year only 22%. Yeah a good night, I don’t think so! It’s 300k less watching the channel than last year.
Also if your going to spend all the money on cricket rights, why would you hid it away on 7mate and not have the cricket on the main channel? It’s a joke that a midday movie gets pride of place on the main channel over womens cricket, involving Australia!
They just don’t get it.
It has much to do with programming. The Chase Australia will always get a bigger audience than women’s cricket on a weekday afternoon. Plus if today’s match finishes late (scheduled finish is 5pm AEST), Seven won’t be able to show a full hour of The Chase Australia in the eastern states.
Should have been on the main channel. Move the cricket at 5pm if required.
Agreed. With today being a public holiday in some states, surely even women’s cricket (if scheduled on the main channel) would’ve had more viewers than The Daily Edition?
Given that there isn’t much for Seven to cover, they’ve done a fairly decent job from what we can see so far with the coverage.
Beating the old horse again but if only everything was on Seven rather than the Seven/Fox split.
Clutching at straws? Seven as a new partner would no doubt endeavour to help promote and grow Women’s cricket and that’s exactly what they did. Record ratings is a terrific result, yes, factoring in the lead-in, which I think paid off big time (promotion of the event).
Lucky regional Queenslanders this time
I’m disappointed 7 couldn’t fix the scoring to follow the rest of the cricketing world
Am I the only one who couldn’t care less about the ordering?
It just seems recalcitrant that Australia doesn’t follow the uniformity of the rest of the cricketing nations.
The CA logo/symbol is wayyyyy too big when Australia is chasing. Looks utterly ridiculous and needs to be fixed.
Haha. Yeah if it was so terrific why did Seven place today’s game on 7mate? This rights deal is a dogs breakfast!
The graphics are atrocious… I don’t like them. The rest is very David Barham type coverage.
This rights deal going to be 5 years of hell. Confusing the viewers and alienating fans. I don’t really see people subscribing to fox for this.
Must be atrociously bad as well
