There was a rain delay during tonight’s match. The movie True Lies aired briefly, before play resumed. How much of the movie played before play resumed? And after the match, did the movie play where it was left off, or from the beginning again?
(This is based from Sydney)
In Melbourne, telecast finished at 10:58pm (scheduled to finish 10:30pm but of course rain delayed). The 2014 Angelina Jolie directed movie “Unbroken” aired (which was not scheduled anywhere), instead of the remainder of “True Lies”.
Also slightly unrelated, on 7Plus, “7 Cricket Scoreboard” was also scheduled from 9:40pm on 7flix, but it was actually Border Security International that played. On broadcast was “Men In Black 4” (must not have live streaming rights for that movie - which is really strange as pretty much any other movie on any network can be live streamed).
The WBBL games this weekend are going ahead
Whoever the sideline commentator for seven tonight doing the bat flip, that was very average. He was stumbling quite a bit
Oh not again this summer!!!
Potentially a Tassie freelancer.
I believe that was Tubes Taylor who is also the ground announcer
Good call:
Michael Slater has reportedly been arrested following an alleged domestic violence incident just weeks after he was axed from Channel 7.
He was arrested at a Manly home on Wednesday morning although no charges have been laid, according to police.
NSW Police said in a statement that the alleged incident occurred on October 12.
“Officers attached to the Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command commenced an investigation yesterday after receiving reports of a domestic violence incident alleged to have occurred on Tuesday 12 October 2021,’’ the statement reads.
“Following inquiries, detectives attended a home at Manly about 9.20am and spoke with a 51-year-old man. He has since been arrested and taken to Manly Police Station.”
Seven’s commentary team for today’s doubleheader from Adelaide Oval:
What the fans say in the ad has obviously been written by an ad-guy with no knowledge of sport. I can’t remember exactly what they say but it’s never been said before.
It is very stange to me. Are they wanting reaction shots for an ad/for those ‘fanzone’ things, what are they wanting? There’s no instruction nor context. They’ve been edited weirdly, and there’s no commentary so do they want you to add it? It seems confusing to me.
The Adelaide strikers one, which is missing from these screenshots, doesn’t even seem to have an Adelaide backdrop.
It’s not saying there aren’t Adelaide fans across the nation but it’s very strange tack from seven to do that.
Can’t quite place where in Melbourne the Stars and Renegades supporters are either. I mean it’s a big city, I can’t know all of it…
