Seven showing WBBL 04 Final - rain delay
Coverage wrapped up at 3.30pm (Sydney time). A shame that the wet weather has occurred , but Seven did well with what was shown, and the replays too.
Border Security International is the filler program atm, as the cricket was to have finished at 5pm.
I had tickets for this today - couldn’t go due to the rain and additional work.
Speculation going around in the cricket community at the moment is that the first test at the Adelaide Oval has been pushed back to the 17th of Dec.
Correct, it’s looking more and more likely each day that the test schedule will be this:
17th-21st Dec @ Adelaide Oval (day/night)
26th-30th Dec @ MCG
07th-11th Jan @ SCG
15th-19th Jan @ GABBA
They should have the New Years Test earlier than that
The Australia-India test schedule has been confirmed, with the dates as FootyKick posted above.
I get the feeling that the Boxing Day Test telecast will commence at 9:30am (AEDT), which means that WA viewers will start at 6:30AM (AWST). Perth viewers will get the first 2.5 hours on 7mate due to Sunrise on the primary channel. The good news was that 7mate returned as an HD telecast, however, Channel 7 will continue to show Sunrise on its primary channel.
Same for New Year’s Test. I am so worried about Perth viewers watching the 4th Test, meaning that Perth viewers will have to watch the first few hours of the cricket on a multichannel.
Does anyone know if for the day/night test, do they take the tea break (20 mins) or the dinner break (40 mins) first?
Given the Adelaide test starts at 3pm AEDT, they will take the tea break first.
Ah okay, so I assume that it will go something like this:
In AEDT time:
3pm-5pm: Session 1
5pm-5:20pm: Tea Break
5:20pm-7:20pm: Session 2 (transferred to 7Mate whilst Seven News is on from 6-7pm)
7:20pm-8pm: Dinner Break
8pm-10pm: Session 3
If one of your major worries in life is viewers in one of five capital cities having to change a channel, then you are doing well.
That is correct. But play normally starts at 2 in the afternoon not three. So this could be a slight change to normal day night games.
It’s all ok super_sc
Thanks for your concern, but I can safely assure you that we know how to use the remote control in good old WA.
No overs will be missed because of Sunrise
Personally while I don’t really take much interest in Seven’s cricket coverage, is having the first few hours on 7mate Perth really that big a deal for as long as said coverage is live, free and in HD?
Exactly. Be thankful you’re getting it at all!
The problem will be if the Seven/CA relationship collapses and the cricket ends up back on Nine. Do they know how to use a remote to switch from Seven to Nine?
I mean, how did they cope before the affiliation swap?
9 had the Cricket on 9 live, pre-empting programming, with the news during a break or after the broadcast.
