Could it be that the scoreboard may be inserted somewhere at NPC instead of the OB truck at the ground? May explain why it appears only Seven Melbourne (feed which may also be supplied to Fox), is having issues, while other states using the 7Mate feed may not be experiencing the same issues?
I think it was mentioned here that the same may be done for NRL on Nine, but feel free to correct me.
Either way, it’s truly bizarre that it is only happening on one channel (+ Fox Footy).
Could also be a BCM issue, since IIRC it’s still used for sport events.
Just on the score graphic during the first game. Watching on 7, it glitched a little in the 2nd qrt & disappeared for sometime in the 3rd. During the very first goal it had the score graphic but the clock wasn’t working. But it wasn’t gone like the Fox feed had
Sunday Herald Sun’s Jon Anderson did a Q&A interview with new Seven signing Kane Cornes.
JA: How hard was it to leave Channel 9 for Channel 7?
KC: In the end it was an easy call even if that isn’t the answer most people would expect. I’ve always been ambitious and had a go, and I’ve been toiling away for 10 years at this media game. I’ve done a lot of flying hours and I wanted to work with a network that had the football rights where I could be behind the microphone on the biggest games. But Channel 9 was great to me.
JA: What can we expect from you as a special commentator? Hopefully some opinions because there are a lack of them at present.
KC: My style that you know will remain my style. That’s what Seven wants. I think it will be a significant change for Seven’s audience.
(Herald Sun’s Footy Wars article, posted in this thread yesterday, said Kane Cornes would work alongside Dale Thomas in special comments on Thursday night matches next year)
Looks like the broadcast camera is swapped to the opposite side for the AFLW after using the normal setup the previous seasons.
This way people watching can actually see there is crowd without the broadcasters needing to switch to a different camera focused on the crowd all the time
Two Seven Sport (AFL) enders aired back-to-back at the end of tonight’s AFLW in Melbourne, error? One in-program, then one out-of-program (seemingly presentation/playout as the watermark had gone). Wonder if that was automated, for markets carrying Fox Sports games, so as to have a neater transition and Seven branding closer to the next program? Then oddly, tonight’s Tattslotto draw (was it Queensland’s Liz Cantor? even more bizarre) sandwiched, then into the movie (Die Hard 3). But on time to EPG. @TV.Cynic
I’m a bit late to this but I think Kane Cornes is a great pick up by seven, might be a little biased, but he isn’t the nice guy attitude seven normally goes for.
