I don’t like the new Thursday Night Football logo.
This year’s AFL Grand Final will start at 2.30pm AEST on Saturday 25 September.
Perth has started to get 7mate promo no mention of HD
I’m getting the vibe that Thursday nights could be increased this year compared to 2019 (2020 doesn’t count because of all the midweek games).
At this stage only Rd6 has no Thursday night fixture, of all fixtured rounds (1-6)
There will be a further 4-5 Thursday night games after round 1-6 primarily around the mid season bye period.
Looks great!
Seven has been posting sneak peeks of The Heater and Daisy Show on social media. This is one of them.
According to my TV guide there will only be 2 AFLW matches next week on 7. Saturday 3:10 & Sunday 12:40
How do you see Sunday’s TV guide?
It’s online, ebroadcast.com.au.
The AFLW telecast games for VIC will be:
Saturday 3pm Collingwood v St Kilda (7mate - Horse Racing on 7)
Sunday 12.30pm Richmond v West Coast (7)
AFL season launch on Seven tonight at 8pm
In Sydney and Brisbane it’s at 7:00pm on 7mate.
TV Blackbox reports that the Sunday Footy Fest premiers on Seven this Sunday (March 21).
Melbourne - 12pm on main channel
Sydney - 12pm on 7mate
Perth - 9am on 7mate
(Strangely I can’t find any broadcast times for Brisbane and Adelaide).
The show will be hosted by Abbey Gelmi, Tim Watson, Matthew Richardson and Heath Shaw. Fans can look forward to an all-new wrap up of the entire day’s action, including the AFLW and AFL match highlights, and round one’s other highlights and news.
Is “Sunday Footy Fest” pretty much the same as “AFL Game Day” but just with a different name?
Adelaide misses out on the debut because it gets the Fox Footy telecast of North Melbourne v Port Adelaide at 12.30pm local time. Seems to me that whether interstate viewers receive Sunday Footy Feast depends on Seven’s coverage on that day.
You’d wonder why they couldn’t put this program at 11:30am for all markets (main channel in VIC & SA, 7mate in NSW, QLD & WA) and just shorten The Morning Show - Weekend by half an hour?
Hopefully Queensland and South Australia viewers can catch up on 7plus.
It will preview the days matches, maybe recap saturdays results, but I don’t expect it to have much in the form of longform interviews. My guess is that it will be done from the NEP studios, same setup that Ch7 had for AFL and Cricket this past year, so a cheaper lower production format.
