Seven News was the only show above one million on Saturday with a slight week-on-week bump for both the 6pm bulletins. ABC News won 7pm while A Current Affair edged upwards to a five-week high as Border Security - Australia’s Front Line dropped 50k to be below 500k for the first time since its return to the Saturday schedule.
Seven’s movie Evan Almighty did an average 250k, down 50k from last week’s offering by the network. In AFL, Brisbane v Port Adelaide was seen in their respective markets on the main channel and had 180k.
Over on Nine, more Australians were on court at Wimbledon. The Pre-Show got underway at 7.30pm averaging 245k. The Night Session was slightly higher on 263k where Australian Daria Kasatkina was on court but with the match interrupted by rain viewers had to wait for a later session where she was eventually eliminated. The late session had 223k while Alex De Minaur’s straight sets win was delayed to a 1:00 AM start.
10’s slightly modified Saturday saw Love It Or List It the best for the network with 297k, its highest rating of the year so far. Earlier, The Dog House also made the top 30 with just over 200k.
On SBS the Tour got underway for another year. Stage 1 rated 197k which compares to 252k for the same stage last year . (This year started at 9:30pm while 20924 started at 8:30pm.)
ABC premiered That Blackfella Show that finished fourth in its timeslot with 213k. It was outrated by the often repeated Midsomer Murders that followed on 245k.
At breakfast Weekend Sunrise had its equal lowest Saturday rating since January.
