Another huge night of footy saw an average of over 900k watching a come from behind win in the AFL while over 700k watch NRL in prime time with another 567k in the afternoon.
Seven had a win despite dropping three share points. They all went to Nine with ABC, 10 and SBS unchanged.
The 912k rating for AFL was up 50k on the previous week and compared to 1.04 million for the equivalent game of 2023. The NFL Elimination Final with 718k compared to 632k last year while the Qualifying Final with 567k was also up on 2023 that had 464k.
Despite the competition, ABC’s Vera was only down 15k while Sister Boniface Mysteries was up 40k this week to be the top scripted dramas on FTA. Meanwhile on 10, a Dog House repeat was up slightly to just under 200k.
Weekend Sunrise had another +400k result while Weekend Today was up 40k.
Earlier it was close at 6pm between the two bulletins with a 20k margin to Seven while Nine’s Saturday bulletin was over 1 million for the first time since the Olympics.
