Saturday 1 June 2024

Another big night of FTA viewing with Seven continuing its dominance having won all Saturdays of the survey. The network was even with the previous week while Nine lifted by two from last week’s low. ABC also improved while SBS improved by two to push 10 into fifth place with its lowest share in seven weeks.

Seven News topped the night, the first time over one million on a Saturday for three weeks while Nine News was on a five-week high with ABC News its best for seven weeks.

Father Brown was back in the top five this week as the top ranked scripted show. It was just ahead of Saturday Night AFL that ranked sixth to be slightly lower than the previous week. Midsomer Murders was up to a season high despite being in repeat mode.

Jeopardy! limped along with 265k though at a slightly later timeslot in Brisbane this week while Nine’s movie outperformed Seven’s movie premiere (though on multichannels in some markets).

10 News First was 10’s only main channel entry in the top 30 though with its highest Saturday result since the Formula One weekend. Viewers didn’t seem to like the one-off Have You Been Paying Attention? (due to Friday’s football) seeming to prefer a Dog House episode. Meanwhile SBS had no top 30 entries.

Chris Reason- hosted Sunrise did well while Today’s OB was down on recent Saturday results.
