When Pang was asked whether it would be a sketch show, he responded “It’s not 1984”.

I just love Pang’s vague answers to any of his upcoming projects. From this new show - to the weeks prior to the Logies hosting duties. Never gives anything away. And that’s what i like. The mystery.

If that’s true then I’m excited. But hoping it’s a long run (like HYBPA) and not just 10 weeks like gogglebox
If it’s a talk show I’d expect a shorter run while HYBPA is off.
Question is: when will this show be on? If it was to be in Q1 before HYBPA starts, we would have heard something by now.
Can Pang be on 3 shows at once though? This show, HYBPA and The Front Bar? He’ll probably be off 10’s show for a short time
Agree it should be on before HYBPA or The Cheap Seats return.

I don’t think it will be. Is it another working dog production? Because I feel working dog don’t like working before April.
I don’t think it’s that they don’t want to work before April, probably due to many of the comedians they use for panellists on shows, etc, are on tour for various comedy festivals.

Yeah that’s a better way of putting it. 
Don’t believe there’s been any mention of which production company are behind it, certainly you would think if Working Dog were involved, they’d have mentioned that during the upfronts or any press release etc.

It’s not Working Dog, it’s a solo Sam project.
I assume it must be airing after HYBPA wraps for the year unless he takes a sabbatical and they run it Wednesdays.

Hey maybe for the 1st episode they could have Steve Vizard and Rove McManus both chat show icons give tips to Sam as a bit of a joke.

I’m assuming it will come out of The Project Studio.
Possibly, it is the bigger of the two - not counting the news studio.
But an insider did share that one of Melb’s studios was undergoing some work, given The Project is back on air it’s more likely to be the sports studio / where The Cheap Seats comes from?
Could be happening to upgrade the set there and make it more versatile for multiple productions.
Maybe but Christ I wish they’d try hiring some studio space if the show isn’t going to be on for 40 weeks. Doesn’t need to be massive (indeed big spaces suck for comedy) but a bit bigger than that shoe closet.

Also coming in Q1 is the Sam Pang project still under wraps with 10 only confirming humour is involved.
“It’s One World Productions which is Sam’s production company. It’s definitely not scripted comedy. I think we’re probably about three or four weeks away from that announcement, but it is looking very good,” he teases.
Monday nights apparently.
