Sale of Southern Cross Television assets to Ten/SWM

I was being respectful. Last time I posted in a forum where the info was in a different thread, it was deleted saying duplicate post and discussion and I was reminded to keep to 1 section

If it eases your concern, it’s possible to quote or link a post from one thread on MS and put it in another thread.

Using the :link: next to the like button, or copy-pasting a “quote” reply into another thread will both do the job nicely.

But just posting the link is also an option. Hope this helps!

A SCA Access promo aired in Canberra last night - proof that the company still operates its ex-10 stations temporarily.

They’ve been airing for the past few months.

This was known. They’re also still producing the noodle updates until the stations are fully handed over to 10 at some unknown date.

Look like the site Information has been updated for Hopetoun, Victoria:

Acquisition by ADH has not occurred with Seven confirmed to now purchase these assets.

The Wikipedia editors who kept insisting Nightly News Tasmania will relaunch as Newsmax must be devastated.

Wow… this is a big turn or events. What’s happened?

WOW. Massive turnaround.
Seven News Tasmania, here we come.

This could bring some uncertainty in Tassie though. Seven may look to offload some of the noodle updates to their Canberra team.

From SCA’s notice to the ASX:

This is great outcome for the Seven Network and Tasmania. Especially when Tasmania is entering the AFL. Seven now has full control of all its operations Australia wide.

Also, Seven News Darwin could be a possibility if they wanted to launch it.

Except parts of SA and Griffith, although these two are direct feeds of existing Seven services. But it is true that for the first time, all Seven feeds will be bought and sold through the one organisation as technically any interested businesses could buy through Seven Adelaide or Sydney to access their home markets - not that they would do such a thing buying into the big city at massively higher rates just to reach those tiny markets.

Other than the ABC/SBS, I think the only area Seven wont have a control will be central (Alice Springs).

Isn’t Central part of this deal?

Yes you are correct.

“Following this acquisition, Seven will reach almost 100% of Australia’s population [exRiverland].

Who controls Riverland? Is that where WIN run all three network stations?
