It’s the old sunrise desk repainted
I think this is the first time we have seen the old Sunrise desk?
Last year they used the old Daily Edition desk for daytime and the 2008 desk for evenings.
But let’s see if they dust of the old 2008 desk for tonight’s segment. Or will this be the year we say good bye?
I reckon it was purged with the move to MQ Tower
This is nothing like I remember it. It was always such a fun day.. lots of crossing to various places around Victoria.. it really needs a new producer that knows the history/tradition but with a modern twist.. Mixed opportunity
I do agree. There use to be the Easter egg hunt at Werribee Mansion, the house auction, and a 7 News team would usually conduct live crosses while traveling through regional Victoria, Gisborne, Kyneton, Castlemaine, Bendigo and Echuca. Prime Reporters also use to send in reports from around the state.
They seem to be using FaceTime to do some events with locals when crossing to the regional tally board.
Apologies if this has been answered before, but why doesn’t the Appeal telecast switch to 7two or 7mate during the footy?
Since the commencement of Good Friday Superclash, the telethon has simply stopped on the main channel.
Wonder if that’s the only reason they decided to go back to mornings? COVID years aside. Making up for the lost 3 hours from 3-6pm due to AFL.
I still don’t think we need footy on Good Friday, like no cricket on Christmas Day. Just IMO.
It’s a Friday, we usually have footy.
I think we are past this debate. We are a secular modern society. Religious people can do their thing, and those of us who enjoy AFL/NRL/horse racing can spend the day off watching our favourite pastime.
To be fair it is hilarious that I can get shitfaced at the football but not go to the supermarket
The night session starts with a Cosentino magic show, with a little help from Johanna Griggs.
There are plenty of supermarkets open today. Do you have a local supermarket near you such as IGA or an independent grocery store like Drakes in QLD and SA?
Was it really necessary to reply to a post from 9 years ago when everyone (including the person who posted the post) now knows what happens? They weren’t even asking if it was stopping or not.
The old desk is back tonight! It survived the move to Collins St.
AFAIK, it’s the longest currently used desk in the country with it approaching 20 years.
Record to beat for longest overall is the old Southern Cross Tas desk, which was at least 24 years old when they moved into their now current set.
