Sydney. She read the News on Sunrise too this morning. She flew down after the show
But in some ways today hasnât been normal.
Double time and a half though for her!
Unlikely.
I think not having a 9am - 12pm block has hurt both Seven and the Appeal.
Sevenâs stable of stars looking a bit bare tonight
Yes it is quite boring tonight
Not one of their better years. Seven just not into it this year?
Is this an appeal for a hospital or a promo for House Rules? Hard to tell at the moment.
I saw the My Sandwich Rules (MSR) segment earlier with Pat & Bianca and Josh & Austin from this seasonâs MKR. Itâs cringey yet funny.
Todd McKenney and Rachael Beck hosting the late evening segment. They are starring in Barnum - The Circus Musical, coming soon to Melbourneâs Comedy Theatre.
Probably canât afford the luxury of flying them all around for it for zero return anymore
Seven are in financial strife, the purse stings would be being tightened across the board. Good Friday included
Seven always manages to put on an elaborate and star studded Telethon in Perth.
It has felt a little cheap tonight for me compared to previous years, I canât exactly explain why. The cost cutting explantion certainly makes sense to me.
There have been some good moments though.
Aside from the cost-cutting, the fact that theyâve changed so much about both the daytime and nighttime broadcasts means it just doesnât âfeelâ right. I canât pinpoint exactly why thatâs the case but itâs been the impression Iâve been getting watching tonight
The big cheque presentations have changed for this year. Some groups were asked to pull the lever to reveal the amount raised on screen, rather than presenting an oversized cheque.
