It’s very simple.
If I wanted to be stuck in traffic for the rest of my life while living two hours away from my job and paying off a $2 million mortgage for a house with 1.5 bedrooms, I’d move to Sydney.
If I wanted to experience 1980, I wouldn’t even bother moving to Adelaide. Plenty of nicer towns in regional Victoria do the job.
If you can find a job.
Fair cop that. Doesn’t help how much of the workforce is concentrated in hospitality, which is still in the recovery stage post-COVID.
Could run off to Adelaide and join the clergy, I suppose?
Still easy to commute from regional Victoria to Melbourne within an hour. Not like Sydney.
But who would want to?

@JBar I had a very weird dream the other night where the current govt from the time where all the younger generation. and all the elderly people at the time were my generation. The government decided that because their generation and the one after them were all from the streaming eras that free to air tv was gone and streaming was the way to go. the news was all on streaming platforms as well . netflix has the metro news and stan had the regional news . by this time netflix brought out 7 stan brought 9 and cbs all access brought 10 but in the future nextflix and stan had more money then cbs lol
