I don’t think there’d be too much confusion because they are announced on air quite differently…

“Thirteen Ten Sixty” vs “Thirteen One Oh Six Five”.

96FM is the only other KIIS station to use the 13 10 65 number, again read as ten sixty-five

Could be worse. I seem to recall Vega’s number was 13 25 10, no surprise smooth ditched that one

“633 9000 will put you in the race, 633 9000 and you’re talking the the Case…”.

I wonder what Sydney radio station that jingle played on and why is it still rattling around in my head 30+ years after it was used?

DMG had a common theme for the phone numbers
13 24 10 for Nova
13 25 10 for Vega
13 27 10 for Regionals heritage network (now Triple M regional)

Though they used 13 12 16 for regional Star (and Hot too?).

What a mess at 96FM.

So listeners hear 13 10 65 up until Drive and then hear 13 1065 by Will & Woody. Wow.

As for The Edge, why so many number changes over recent years?

Yes, but that didn’t fit the same pattern of the others.

FiveAA has only had that number since moving into their current studio, it used to be 8224 0000

Guessing the RG Capital regionals were all local numbers before the MMG acquisition?

That would be right.

2GO (now Triple M Central Coast), for a long time, had 4324 4444 as their studio number. It was changed to the Triple M regional network’s 13 27 10 number in October 2018.

For local content, yes. There were some 1300 numbers for networked content.

I think “The Nitemix” was 1300 648 364 (as in 1300 NITEMIX but with the C missing. Obviously). The Big K’s Fat 30 also had a 13 number.

Also interesting to note that Old School House Party on the Hit Network reused the old Hot30 1800 number (1800 15 11 00) for their voicemail service

Wow, I didn’t realise this until now. Very clever.
