Planet America

Definitely recorded. Chas made mention on PEP a couple of weeks ago that he and Dave had just come from the recording of Planet America.

They did a live episode for the 2020 election day, and possibly another one (IIRC it was done from the NC Studio as a special episode).

Good extended episode tonight. As usual manages to explain and cut through much of the media hype we’ve been hearing for the last 2 weeks.

I saw that yesterdays episode was uploaded on the ABC News In-depth Youtube channel an hour before it was broadcast on FTA does that normally happen?

Sure is, normally around 9PM on YouTube, Facebook, and iView, before airing at 10PM on FTA. It was in response to their timeslot being pushed later due to This is Going to Hurt airing earlier in the year which ran past their normal 9:30 slot, but has stuck around as they have kept the later slot.

Last night it was uploaded a few minutes before broadcast (show was moved forward in schedule due to all the stuff going in in the US).

Is Planet America happening tonight, or it cant be played out due to the data outage??

Good question. Was supposed to start at 8pm, and now being 8.36pm, there’s no word from my understanding if it will air or not.

Has it ever aired live before? If it does go ahead.

It aired live after the 2020 US Presidential Election.

Tonight’s edition was probably going to be taped in the afternoon or early evening but couldn’t.
