In 2020, during Covid, 7, 9 and 10 lobbied the government to drop quotas for all drama and children’s programs. The former Federal government agreed. Since then they lobbied for the quota to be permanently remived for children’s programs and the government agreed again. Children’s productions have more than halved in Australia since then.

7, 9 and 10 have been lobbying the government to remove all quotas on Australian drama too. 10 has had no first run Australian drama since Neighbours ended on 10 Peach in the middle of last year. With the way the drama quotas have changed, 10 didn’t even have to screen any new series anyway because they screened enough episodes of Neighbours in 2022 on a multichannel that they could carry the quota points to 2023.

7 has got home and away?

They did? I must have missed it listed

As did most of Australia. It seemed to be last minute scheduling on 30 December.

I guess it’s their streaming first strategy.

And it’s true that viewers prefer scripted on streaming. They’re programming to how viewers consume and training viewers that for original Australian content they need to pay and stream.

They are future proofing their business. It’s smart.

Although I agree it’s a shame things don’t get an automatic play on 10 6 months later

Does anyone know why P+ hasn’t put up the third episode of the new season of Southpark?

Because there is no episode in the US this week.

Why is that?

wonder whether we will ever see the rest of CSI:Vegas season 2 on P+

There are breaks so the team don’t have to work so hard. Remember an entire episode is done in 6 days.

In other news, Paramount is getting sued by WBD over South Park:

I only found out yesterday Mike Judge does the voices of both Beavis and Butthead . I’m enjoying the new episodes on Paramount +. For some reason I thought it was like South Park where there were 2 people voicing it .

I noticed a new season of Inside Amy Schumer not sure if it is a one off or we will see any more from her, it’s been 6 years? since the last season.

The Neighbourhood still going up to Season 6 !
