This similar to what 7 have done here with their BVOD offering. They usually have about 20 or so streaming channels on 7plus.
Are there any paramount + gift cards in Australia?
Has someone been naughty this year?
LOL! Good call.
Paramount+ has renewed Why Women Kill for a third season. The show is also available in Australia on SBS on Demand, which I believe has the first window.
That’s right, S1 & 2 are now available on P+.
So Season 3 will air on SBS on Demand First or Paramount + ?
No announcements have been made yet, or they’d likely be posted in here.
For previous seasons, SBS had first run rights and they were added to 10 All Access (P+) when the second window rights they retained were up.
You’d have to think P+ would like to try and get the show back exclusively, similarly to Star Trek but it just depends on how long the arrangement SBS negotiated was for.
SBS only had first run rights to Season 1. Season 2 went direct to Paramount+.
Maybe getting mixed up with The Good Fight?
Hopefully that goes straight to P+ next season.
Yeah Good Fight definitely has first window on SBS - wondering if it will stay that way when Season 6 launches.
Season Two Coming To Paramount+.
SHOWTIME has renewed the critically acclaimed survival drama Yellowjackets for a second season.
Created and executive produced by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson ( Narcos ), the one-hour drama series stars Melanie Lynskey (Castle Rock ), Oscar® and Emmy® nominee Juliette Lewis ( Camping ), Emmy nominee Christina Ricci ( Z: The Beginning of Everything ) and Tawny Cypress ( Unforgettable ). Jonathan Lisco ( Animal Kingdom, Halt and Catch Fire ) joins Lyle and Nickerson as executive producer and showrunning partner. Produced for SHOWTIME by studio Entertainment One ( eOne ), Karyn Kusama ( Destroyer, Girlfight ) executive produces and directed the pilot. Drew Comins of Creative Engine also serves as executive producer. The premiere of Yellowjackets has been seen by over 4 million viewers across platforms to date.
Season one of Yellowjackets , which received a Critics’ Choice nomination for ‘Best Drama Series,’ is currently airing Sunday nights on Paramount+ and will finale on Sunday, 16 January. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.
“ Yellowjackets has been an unadulterated sensation for SHOWTIME,” said Levine. “We are overwhelmed by both the acclaim and the audience response to our series, including several ‘Best of 2021’ lists, a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and snowballing viewership. Clearly there is a hunger for originality and audacity, and our incredible showrunners Ashley, Bart and Jonathan, along with their pitch-perfect cast, have delivered that and so much more. I can’t wait to see the surprises they have in store for us in season two.”
“We are beyond grateful for the incredible support we’ve received for this show — both from Gary Levine, Jana Winograde, David Nevins, Amy Israel, Dave Binegar, and the rest of the fantastic Showtime team, and from our growing team of “Citizen Detectives” at home,” said Lyle, Nickerson and Lisco. “We can’t wait to continue telling this story with our amazing cast and crew. The saga continues!”
Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls’ soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over. Season one also stars Ella Purnell ( Sweetbitter ), Samantha Hanratty ( SHAMELESS ), Sophie Thatcher ( Prospect ), Jasmin Savoy Brown ( The Leftovers ), Sophie Nélisse ( The Book Thief ), Steven Krueger ( The Originals ) and Warren Kole ( Shades of Blue ).
Showtime Networks Inc. I feel like we’ve been hearing about The Gilded age for about 10 years.
Some really good stuff here. Paramount+ is turning into a top streamer!
As I mentioned before, The Gilded Age debuts in the US on January 24 (January 25 in Australia). Why can’t P+ make each episode available on the same day as America?
That is the same day isn’t it? The US is a day behind us.
