A new galactic adventure is about to begin for an all-new generation….but an icon in the Star Trek universe is returning.

Paramount+ has released an extended first look at Hologram Kathryn Janeway, from the upcoming all-new animated kids series Star Trek: Prodigy , which will stream exclusively in Australia on October 29. The new clip featuring the return of the iconic Star Trek character of Janeway, voiced by Kate Mulgrew in the new series, was released during the cast and producer panel at New York Comic Con.

In addition, it was revealed that Daveed Diggs, Jameela Jamil, Jason Alexander and Robert Beltran have joined the season one voice cast with recurring roles. Diggs will voice Commander Tysess, Jamil will voice Ensign Asencia, Alexander will voice Doctor Noum and Beltran will reprise his Star Trek: Voyager role as Captain Chakotay.

In the one-hour Star Trek: Prodigy series premiere titled Lost & Found , a group of lawless teens, exiled on a mining colony outside Federation space, discover a derelict Starfleet ship. Dal must gather an unlikely crew for their newfound ship if they are going to escape Tars Lamora, but the Diviner and his daughter Gwyn have other plans.

Developed by Emmy® Award winners Kevin and Dan Hageman ( Trollhunters and Ninjago ), the CG-animated series Star Trek: Prodigy is the first Star Trek series aimed at younger audiences, and will follow a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search of a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the Star Trek franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.

We’re In Session.

Couples Therapy Australia. Streaming On Paramount+ In 2022.

ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand today announced that it has commissioned the critically acclaimed docuseries, Couples Therapy for Paramount+.

A Paramount+ Original, Couples Therapy Australia will be available to stream exclusively in 2022. The series will see real-life couples lay bare their intimacy issues with a professional therapist. Can clarity, compassion – and sometimes tough love – help reignite passion’s spark?

Produced by Warner Bros. for Paramount+, the docuseries will go behind the closed doors of a therapist’s office, dropping in on the secret world of other people’s relationships. In raw and emotional weekly therapy sessions, couples will hash out their real-life issues and share their extraordinary breakthroughs for the first time outside the therapy room.

The fascinating fly-on-the-wall series will allow viewers the visceral experience of watching couples explore interpersonal issues and delicately negotiate confrontation, all the while searching for a deeper, more intimate relationship.

Daniel Monaghan, Senior Vice President, Content and Programming, ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand, said: "We are thrilled to add Couples Therapy Australia to our growing slate of local productions on Paramount+.

“The groundbreaking series is in its third season in the U.S. and is a proven hit for SHOWTIME. Now it’s time to open the therapist’s door to couples in Australia and hear their stories."

Michael Brooks, Managing Director, Warner Bros. Australia, said: “ Couples Therapy is a premium and proven high-end documentary series that unveils the raw, honest and authentic details of other people’s intimate relationships.

“This captivating series adopts a unique approach as the couples never see or hear from a producer throughout the entire process. It’s shocking, confronting and as real as it gets with extraordinary breakthroughs along the way.”

Just noticed the film The Help on P+. Produced by dreamworks and distributed by Disney.

Interesting they’re acquiring movies from more places outside their own parent and the non-exclusive Warner Bros movies announced at launch.

You wonder why 10 don’t use their parent company’s Paramount pictures and air some of those franchises on the free to air rather than the crap they serve up.
