Once again proving that 10 All Access is not at the forefront of CBS’ minds. Which is utterly stupid.

10All Access seems like a lame attempt in Australia, even Presto wasn’t as bad. I thought 10AA would get better but nothing has changed. Price is too high for what you get. Even the customer service I think was a robot or copypasted.

For some reason the website can be ridiculously slow too, and it isn’t my internet connection. The app is not on the Telstra TV, Prime, Stan and Netflix are.

I guess it is a cheap to run service but I doubt they have many subscribers. No idea as nothing has been said that I can find.

I think it’s very odd that the paramount deal went through.

Then again, while News Corp was announcing they were going all-in on News and Sport, getting rid of other Movie & TV production, and dumping Sky UK PayTV… they continued merging their 100% owned Fox Sports into Foxtel diluting their Sports ownership and increasing their Foxtel ownership.

Perhaps these deals had been in progress too long to be derailed?

I would think (without too much deep thinking) that if All Access wants to survive it really should pull in everything from TEN/11/One, Viacom, MTVs, VH1, Country music, Nickelodeon, N Jnr, Spike … all on-demand, no ads etc.

I doubt they’ll pull their Showtime content from Showcase, though that would certainly make a bigger splash.

I think it’s fairly clear we can’t sustain 8 different services though… time to rethink!

The price also needs to be reduced (by about 1/2)… it is to expensive for what you get at the moment. They need to do deals with a few of the telcos to offer free streaming and to pay for your subscription through your phone bill. They should also do a deal with foxtel to carry it the same way Netflix now is on IQ.

I agree, 10 All Access desperately needs more content. Even if it was one new series a week, or 5 new movies a week (or something like that), just so they have something different to advertise every week. Exclusive Australian content should eventually be invested in as well.

10 Play I believe should also have links to everything on 10 All Access, with a trailer and an advertisement on the pages “Watch this on 10 All Access now. Start your free trial here or log in.” Preview episodes of everything available wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

It really does feel like 10AA isn’t a priority at the moment, and I think it should be.

10 are spending up on All Access outdoor advertising at the moment, especially in Brisbane which I saw a fair few of today, but their general promotional strategy is just messy.

The billboards look similar to the below example (except the one I saw had Lucy Liu to promote Why Women Kill and Jeff Probst for Survivor) but you can’t read the small text next to the people to tell what they’re advertising and there’s just far too much going on.

They should either be promoting individual shows, preferably current exclusives such as Twilight Zone, Why Women Kill, Strange Angel etc, or plaster a catchy /cheeky message on any advertising to drive engagement to the platform and ensure people are familiar with the service and check it out.

From a mediaweek article with Paul Anderson:

The SVOD service is perhaps still light on with original, first-run exclusive content. That will change.

Anderson: “CBS has a number of originals for next year. We are happy with the way that subscriber numbers have developed since we launched last December.

Like many SVOD platforms, 10 won’t reveal its numbers.

“We have a steady audience,” is how Anderson replied. “We have a great platform to build on.”

Just what happens with the content that might be available from the merged Viacom-CBS will help shape how 10 All Access grows.

Possibly for 10 All Access (but who knows). Was announced on The View.

10 purchased the SVOD rights to BH90210 in addition to the FTA & BVOD rights, as it has been added to All Access to coincide with the original series being available on there also.

Why Women Kill, which is streaming on 10 All Access, has been renewed for a second season.

“Why Women Kill” was the best and most entertaining show I’ve watched this year. This is the type of show which used to be what tv was all about before the plethora of reality tv. I must admit though, I am a fan of (some) reality shows!

Nancy Drew, also streaming on 10 All Access.

10 All Access needs more content. Either add more content or drop the cost. $10 for this vs Apple and Disney’s offering being cheaper.

I know Amazon Prime Video started off with maybe 200-300 titles but has grown into a great service with lots of interesting stuff on it.

Why aren’t we getting The Brady Bunch, Caroline in the City , Angel From Hell , Carols Second Act and a few others that are on CBS All Access, must be licensed elsewhere. Carols Second Act isn’t on Foxtel I don’t think.

I don’t see this flatform lasting another 12 months in Australia. It’s been poorly planned.

The way I see it, 10 All Access isn’t trying to compete with Netflix, Stan and Disney+. The service is there to serve fans of specific shows, such as NCIS, Cheers and Survivor. Being a fan of Survivor, I think the cost is warranted to be able to watch all 38 seasons as there is no other way.

It’s a different story entirely if CBS team up with Viacom and bring over their content. Then it might be in the same market as Netflix and Stan, but for the moment I think it serves a good role as a niche streaming service for fans of certain shows and I don’t see a problem with that strategy.

You’re right but it’s still way over priced. $4.99 at best.

Ok this is confusing but if you have a Fire TV stick and open the new Apple TV app and pick “try apple tv channels” and pick “Ten All Access” it appears you can stream it through here on tv.

I didn’t mind the first season, but hadn’t bothered with the second yet. Unsurprisingly, 10 did zero promotion for this All Access Original.

Tell Me A Story Season Two

Premieres Friday, 6 December On 10 All Access.

Beloved Fairy Tales Get An Adult Makeover.

Season two of the television anthology series - Tell Me A Story - which transforms treasured fairy tales into psychological thrillers, will premiere on the same day as the U.S., on 10’s exclusive streaming service 10 All Access, from Friday, 6 December.

Created, written and executively produced by Kevin Williamson ( The Vampire Diaries , Dawson’s Creek ), the first season of Tell Me A Story gave Little Red Riding Hood , Hansel And Gretel and The Three Little Pigs an adult makeover in modern day New York.

This time, exploring an entirely new set of fairy tales and characters, the series will feature the stories of three legendary princesses - Beauty and the Beast , Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella - like you’ve never seen them before.

At the forefront of this new chapter are the Pruitt family who navigate love, loss, romance and terror against the iconic background of Music City – Nashville, Tennessee.

You may know how the original fairy tale ends, but in Tell Me A Story , not everyone is guaranteed to live happily ever after.

The 10-episode second season stars Paul Wesley ( The Vampire Diaries ) as Tucker Reed, Carrie-Anne Moss ( The Matrix, Jessica Jones ) as Rebecca Pruitt, Odette Annable ( House, Supergirl ) as Maddie Pruitt, Eka Darville ( Jessica Jones ) as Beau Morris, Matt Lauria ( Kingdom, Friday Night Lights ) as Jackson Pruitt, Natalie Alyn Lind ( The Gifted, The Goldbergs ) as Ashley Rose Pruitt and Ashley Madekwe ( Salem, Revenge ) as Simone Garland.

In addition, Danielle Campbell ( The Originals ) returns to Tell Me A Story this season in a recurring role as Olivia Moon. Garcelle Beauvais ( Spider-Man Homecoming ) as Veronica Garland, Caleb Castille ( Wu Tang: An American Saga) as Ron and Christopher Meyer ( The Affair ) as Derek round out the cast with recurring roles.

From Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, Tell Me A Story is written and executive-produced by Williamson alongside Aaron Kaplan, Dana Honor and Michael Lohmann.

This service seems overpriced now considering Disney+ and Apple TV+ have entered the market.
