I’ve been watching the fourth season of the American version of Ghosts and the product placement is absolutely disgusting.

Almost every episode has a blatent Amazon Prime delivery. The Paramount+ logo is shown when they’re watching television. A table full of food was dominated by many packets of Kettle Chips. A smashed car was constantly refered to as the Audi. :face_vomiting:

No it was Jay’s mother’s new car, which she insisted calling the Audi at every opportunity.

I’ve just got round to watching Last King of the Cross.

Interesting that one of the characters, Fat George, uses homophobic slurs when he is verbally abusing people. But when they translate it into English, they tone it down and use a different word instead.

Did the actor go off script and choose to use the old fashioned slurs but then the producers thought it was too offensive to show in English? Are certain words not allowed to be used/shown now?

Subtitles do this all the time too in a lot of shows, what’s said on screen doesn’t match up. So you wonder, is it original script or trying to keep it friendly across all territories (like when they do the edited versions for planes)
