We’ve learned a lot since we launched Paramount+ nearly three years ago. As we said last quarter, we expect that 2022 was our year of peak investment, so we are a year ahead of schedule on that important metric. Given our continued push to streaming profitability, this year we will lean even further into large markets like the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, where we have a strong multiplatform presence, our US studio content resonates best, and where there is the greatest revenue potential.

So all new scripted programming going to Paramount+ first now. Channel Ten just a wasteland of repeats and reality shows now.

Not necessarily. If you look closely at the article above, you can see a majority of shows are marked as either Exclusive New, Brand New or just New.

Exclusive New - new shows exclusive to Paramount+ (may air on 10 at a later date, e.g. FBI: International)
Brand New Season - new season available to Paramount+ but will also air on 10 (e.g. NCIS, NCIS: Hawaii, FBI)
New - available to Paramount+ and other platforms

Youre just confirming what I said. New series and new seasons of Ten shows are on Paramount+. So when or if the end up on Ten they will be repeats in Australia.

I think new seasons of NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii may air on 10, 3-4 weeks after they stream on P+. The late start of the 2024 seasons of US shows (due to last year’s strikes) mean there should only be 1-2 breaks during those seasons, e.g. NCAA basketball final and Easter.

Paramount+ Announces New Documentary As We Speak: Rap Music On Trial.

Streaming Exclusively On Paramount+ From Wednesday, 28 February 2024.

Paramount+ today announced the new feature-length documentary As We Speak: Rap Music On Trial, which had its world premiere screening at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, will stream exclusively on the service beginning Wednesday, 28 February.

Directed by J.M. Harper (jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy, Don’t Go Tellin’ Your Momma), the eye-opening documentary As We Speak: Rap Music On Trial follows Bronx rap artist Kemba as he explores the growing weaponisation of rap lyrics in the United States criminal-justice system and abroad. His exploration reveals how law enforcement has quietly used artistic creation as evidence in criminal cases for decades.

Since the 1990s, more than 700 criminal court cases have used rap lyrics as evidence against defendants, and with the recent criminal trial of rapper Young Thug, this issue has become more mainstream and in the public eye. The film doesn’t ask whether someone is innocent or guilty; it asks whether lyrics can be used for conviction.

Director J.M. Harper said: “It’s not every day a director gets to meet a once-in-a-generation rap artist like Kemba and then has the opportunity to spotlight him in a film like As We Speak: Rap Music On Trial. The trust and support from our friends at Paramount+ truly enabled us to make this documentary from the artist’s point of view. We look forward to inspiring positive change in our broken criminal-justice system.”

As We Speak: Rap Music On Trial is directed and produced by J.M. Harper and produced by Sam Widdoes and Peter Cambor for District 33 and Sam Bisbee for Park Pictures. Executive producers include Ryan Simon for Strike Anywhere, Cody Ryder for Park Pictures, Bruce Gillmer and Amanda Culkowski for MTV Entertainment Studios, and Max Allman. The documentary made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22.

Looks like a bunch of originals dropped off the platform today without warning.

Five Bedrooms, The Betoota Advocate Presents, The Challenge Australia, Couples Therapy Australia, The Bridge Australia, Spreadsheet, More Than This, Undressed, Offspring, Six Festivals.

UK original No Escape too.

Is this a error?

Possibly being the 31st, or my best guess is the rights to all these shows expired and weren’t renewed in a cost cutting exercise.

In yet another feature the platform doesn’t have, it clearly doesn’t indicate when something is about to expire on there.

Alot of these are P+ Originals though so it just seems a bit strange that they would suddenly disappear.

They rights might have all had the same expiry date being today at the end of the month.

I thought this was “all but confirmed for season 2” but appears not to be. Don’t some shows disappear and then come back. Like how is The Cube on there.

I was under the same impression, it’s also still on 10 play.
