Reducing 1News website is a bad idea from the start. Why are they sending readers to other news websites like RNZ, Stuff and The New Zealand Herald?

Nope it will not make difference just like axing of Fair Go, 1 News Midday and Tonight bulletins and Sunday axing them is a wrongful mistake made by the CEO.

TVNZ’s management team reducing as the organisation shrinks. A new chief news and content officer role will join the executive team. This will be in place of the executive editor - news and chief content officer.
“This role is yet to be appointed and it may be that there is internal interest in the role. The title of the role is clear though – it will be a chief news and content officer and the intention will be to appoint an individual who can successfully lead the news, content and production teams.” - TVNZ spokesperson.
Some newsroom sources within TVNZ fear that the new executive role would diminish the importance of news at the state broadcaster, especially if it’s not filled by anyone with any editorial experience.

Stuff can reveal Breakfast co-host Anna Burns-Francis and sport presenter Hayley Holt are both leaving TVNZ.

Wow, a lot of talent female presenters walking out the door of TVNZ. Not unexpected, but still a shame.
Burn-Francis said she didn’t enjoyed her role (Breakfast host). Not surprised.
No she said she didn’t want to apply for the new role.
She also said the new role wasn’t for her.
Reckon she was talking about the role with she took with Breakfast, or whatever was being proposed as part of the new look show?
I assumed it to be about the latter - and whatever the reduced/changed role.
